Venturi masks are intended for administration of oxygen whenprecise control of inspired oxygen concentration is mandatory. Duringinspiration the patient draws gases both from oxygen flowing into themask through the tubing, as well as from room air via ports on the sidesof the mask. Oxygen concentration delivered is depending on thesize of diluter. The masks are connected directly to a compressed airor oxygen supply. The products are intended for single use only
